Since I first tried Uncle Maddio's on the 4th of July, I feel it is only appropriate to give my review to the tune of Yankee Doodle. Hubby and I came to town, Oh we were so hungry, Uncle Maddio's was the fix, Who can't turn down cannoli! Peachy Keen pizza was my choice, his BBQ chicken was dandy, Caprese salad was our start, the employees are so handy! The pizzas were prepared so fast, We barely spent time waiting, Will I go again to this spot? Of course, there's no debating!w

Yeah, I'm sort of crazy about this place. It's basically Chipotle meets pizza. You have the ability to build your own personal pizza. (They also have salads) On Mondays, a 9 inch pie with three toppings is only $7. Just had one this evening, and I must say it was pretty freaking good. It's not the greatest pizza I've ever had, but for the price and convenience it's 5 stars in my book. A new weekly spot for me. I recommend "extra crispy" on the temperature.

Went on Monday and was fortunate enough to benefit from Maddio's Monday! You get any 3 topping 9" pizza for $6.35. We got two pizzas, a small Greek salad, a cookie, and a drink for less than $20. I love how fresh everything is and that they make the dough in house. The staff was very friendly and explained the process, but some of them (maybe new) were completely scattered. I started asking about the meat options and he had to get assistance to define them all. There's only like 10 things to remember... I had it down pat by the time he was done. It seemed like they had were finishing a rush cause they all seemed a little flustered. Our Pizzas came out but never saw the salad. They said it would be out shortly after. When that didn't happen, I went to the counter to let them know and they said they had it right there, but didn't know who it belonged to... wrong answer. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful. I think they might still be going through some growing pains so I'll let it slide. Plus, everything ended with a "Love Cookie" and how can you be mad after eating that cookie!

We decided to go for pizza today. What a great place to eat good fresh delicious pizza! As sook as we walked in we were greeted by someone, even thou was a little busy we ordered and our pizza got to our table in less than 15 mins! Everyone was very friendly! Loved that they had all toppings fresh on display to choose and also not to mention options for GF and whole wheat dough! One of their employees kept going around tables and picking up dirty plates/trays. Big plus I didn't have to pick up my own and dispose them! Overall great service & delicious food!

We haven't tried the pizza but all I can say is the Italian panini is excellent. It's my go-to at Maddios!

I really like this place, been here 3 times now and just now writing a review. The food is fresh, like very fresh. They offer gluten-free options which is great. Pick a 9-inch pizza shell and get fresh toppings in addition to tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese for $7.99, they run it through they oven quickly and serve it up hot and fresh. Our family ate here last night and the 4 of each got different pies, drinks and some cookies for the kids for dessert for under $50. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and everything flows smoothly.

I dig this place. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Nope but it's still really good. I like getting the 9" personal. So far I've tried the Jerk Chicken on wheat crust and the Steak & Bleu on traditional crust. Both were great but I'd order the Steak & Bleu again in a heartbeat. I think it's the balsamic they drizzle on top that is still haunting my foodie dreams. They're also super friendly here, almost overly but I'd rather that than the opposite. They say "Ciao, Maddio!" when you walk in the door similar to Moe's catchy (annoying?) greeting and so far, it doesn't seem too forced. Also, if you do a to-go order, they'll open the box for you so you can check out your pizza. I like it but I sort of feel weird, like I have to approve of it. I think next time, just for funsies, I'm going to tell them something like "this is completely unacceptable, make it again" or just stare blankly at them until they feel awkward. Seriously though, I have high hopes for this place. I wasn't too excited about yet another pizza place in Mt. Pleasant, especially since it's a chain. But I'm thinking that they just might be able to beat the dreaded curse of that corner location (RIP Mama Fu's.....and all the other places that came after).

WOW!!!!!! I just experience a slice of heaven!!! Here I am, passing through Charleston, and I enter this shopping plaza and see Maddio's Pizza.. I haven't had pizza for a while so I decided to check them out. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Hillary. She meticulously explained how Maddio's sets themselves apart by using 100% fresh ingredients, and showed how easy it was to customize my own pizza, and how this may be the best pizza I have ever eaten... I was sold so I tried them out.. Mannnn, after my 1st bite I was truly convinced this is definitely the best pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! Maddio's is the epitome of pizza, my taste buds are still buzzing like a hive full of honey bees... Wow!!! Truly a slice of heaven!!! Thanks Hillary, even though you had me sold, you definitely undersold it with no fault of your own, truly amazing experience!!!

We have eaten at Maddio's twice and really enjoyed both meals. The first time was kind of off peak hours and we had one pizza to share and an order of breadsticks. The second time, Friday, we went because they had offered a free 9" pizza deal which we'd signed up for. Understandably, the line was quite long, but we didn't mind of course. I really like the size of the pizza and the options to customize. I kind of wish they had garlic as a topping but of course it was still great. The breadsticks are basically the pizza crust with some kind of sauce before they cook it. They are quite good. I haven't tried anything else but both meals were good as was the service, even though they were crazy busy the second time. Great spot!

Heading to Maddio's for lunch with my boss, I knew it was a good day for pizza when I saw Blake F. leaving the place! My boss had already been and loved it so I was excited to give the newest fast casual restaurant in town a go. This building has housed at least three (that I can remember) failing restaurants over the past two years so walking in to a well lit, colorful, clean setting was refreshing to see. When the door opens, the employees behind the counter greet you with a catchy saying that I wasn't quit able to decipher. Kinda like "Welcome to Moe's" but that isn't what it was!! The menu board list all the options for creating your own pizza along with all the specialty pizzas, salad and sandwich offerings. I wasn't able to find on the menu how many toppings you can choose for each different pizza size so I wasn't sure how much my end concoction was going to cost. They let us know we got three toppings (not including the sauce and mozzarella) with the 9" for $7.99 so I thought that was a great deal. Unfortunately I'm not sure if that's an all the time thing, or just an introductory special since they just opened. Time will tell on that one. For my pie I went traditional crust, herb pesto sauce, mozzarella, steak, artichoke hearts, and ricotta. The person building the pizza then tells the other employee a couple steps away in front of a computer what you ordered. Then that computer tells the cashier's computer what you ordered and you pay that employee. Different then what I've ever seen so I thought I'd mention it. (Come on the place is new, I figured you'd want to know EVERYTHING!) At employee #2, computer #1, we were asked if we'd like a cookie and my boss said yes so it was rang in, then paid for at computer #2, employee #3, but never given to us. Not sure who's responsible for the cookie hand out step, but I'm sure they'll figure that part out! My first bite was fantastic. The crust is really really fresh and tasty. I will warn you if you go the herb pesto and steak route, have tic tacs available. Both are seasoned great, but both have garlic so your breath will be kicking when your done! I waited a day to write this review for a reason and that is b/c I can't eat that much food in one sitting so I wanted to have time to give the pizza the re-heat test. And it passed. I heated up a slice today and the crust comes back to life perfectly and was just as tasty as it was yesterday. (Good cold too, as all pizza should be.) So good luck to Maddio's! I know I plan to return and give many different sauces and toppings a whirl.

If you read my prior review, you'd know that they never gave me my cookies I ordered. Well I went there today with a decent sized order for my work and met the owner Dave. He and his staff were very polite. I mentioned the missing cookies from my last order and he gave me some without hesitation and was completely apologetic. When all my food was up, they even offered to help me out to my car. Wonderful service, and the Chopped salad is delish!

B+ - It is nice when you to with a crew and everyone likes something else on their pizza, like heavy on the meat, or pineapple (?). Here you can get different bases, different cheeses, different toppings, or pick from the set menus. The sizes are perfect for one. Like Subway's for pizza. But, the chicken was dried out and chewy and the crust was just ok.

We just checked out Uncle Maddios and were very pleased with the atmosphere and cleanliness...ok it is new! We are sort of pizza snobs and always prefer a good solid New York style pie. They basically have a build your own system where you can pick crust including whole wheat and gluten free, pick your sauce, your cheese and a wide variety of toppings. Final analysis for us is that it is really good, but would not be our go to as far as being authentic NY style...think more...California with plenty of organic toppings to go with it. It was almost perfectly baked and they are generous with toppings earning them a solid 4 stars from my crew!

This place is a gem! I have Celiac Disease and am always looking for new Gluten Free options. My parents were in town recently (my dad also has to stay away from gluten) and we ordered from Uncle Maddio's. We were all impressed. The person who I spoke with on the phone, when ordering, asked if I had an allergy or just preferred no gluten. He was polite, friendly and spoke intelligently! The gluten free pizza was great. The salad we ordered was amazing. Fresh, big, all around delicious. The food was ready quick. The customer service was outstanding. We will def become regulars here. I highly recommend this place.

This is the first Uncle Maddio's in the Charleston area. You order down a line while they prepare the pizza in front of you. Quick, friendly service and the pizza is fresh! You can pick from various sauces, toppings, etc. They even have gluten free crust. I went in for the free 9" pizza promo they were having. I was quite pleased. I did see a sign that said they have lunch specials on Mondays. I hope they open more locations closer to where I live. I'm glad that I work in Mt. P. I will be back!

If you enjoy Chipotle's but for pizza, you'll love Maddio's. The ordering process is fun, fully custom and the overall vibe is casual fun. I enjoyed the personal size options starting at 9" for a great personal size pizza. All the ingredients seem very fresh. Both my son and I found the pizza to be excellent and we expect to be frequent customers.
